St. Patrick’s Day Crafts (You Can Eat)

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and if you haven’t already, it’s time to dry clean the “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” shirt that’s hiding in the back of your closet. This holiday, everything is green, from cute little Leprechauns to four-leafed clovers, and of course, green beer for the adults!

If you’re looking for something more family-friendly than beer and cabbage, there’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than with some St. Patrick’s Day crafts.

What if you want to spice it up a little, though? If you’re looking for a way to take your crafts to the next level this St. Patrick’s Day, why not try making edible crafts? A sure-fire way to take your crafting time up a notch is to get to snack on the treats when you’re done! Plus, if you put any of these cute and tasty treats out at your St. Patrick’s Day party, you’re bound to impress your guests.

So, go on! Gather some supplies and enjoy one of these St. Patrick’s Day crafts!

Pot of Gold Pretzels

These Pot of Gold Pretzels are the perfect craft for novice crafters and kids alike. With this St. Patrick’s Day craft, you’ll be making your own “pot of gold” at the end of the rainbow, and eating it, too! On top of being super easy, this St. Patrick’s Day craft doesn’t require a lot of ingredients, either: just waffle style pretzels, Rolo candies, rainbow sour candy belts, and gold sugar crystals. They’re simple enough for any level crafter, and cute and tasty, too.

Find the full instructions over at Crayons and Cravings, and be sure to head to Candy Club to stock up on those sour candy belts! (Trust us, they’ll go fast!)

Tasty Money Tree

We’ve all probably heard the phrase, “money doesn’t grow on trees.” But just for one day, wouldn’t it be really cool if it did? Well, make your dreams come true with this St. Patrick’s Day craft idea from our friends at Edible Crafts Online. Of course, they’re chocolate coins (not real ones), but it’s still pretty fun to pick a treat off of your very own money tree. No need to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this St. Patrick’s Day when you’re growing gold coins on your money tree.

Pot O’ Treats

What if the real treasure at the end of the rainbow was candy and other tasty treats? Gold and money would be nice, too, but unless you really are a magical Leprechaun with a pot of gold, some tasty treats are a pretty good alternative. On top of being absolutely delicious, this treat can double as a gift for pretty much anyone. All you need are your favorite green-colored candies and snacks, a black plastic cauldron from a party supply store, yellow tissue paper, and green curling ribbon. Combine then all, and you have a St. Patrick’s Day craft that you can eat!

Rainbow Seeds

This is an especially fun craft idea for the smaller kids, and it’s super easy (and affordable!) to put together. All you need are some Skittles, M&M’s, or other rainbow-colored candy, and a zip lock baggy. Put the candy in the bag, and bam! You have seeds to “plant a rainbow” with. And who knows? You might just catch a Leprechaun or find a pot of gold when your rainbow grows from your seeds.

Silly Shamrock Rice Krispie Treat Pops

Rice Krispie treats are a fan favorite, no matter what age you are. Why not give them the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day treatment by transforming them into silly shamrocks with goofy facial expressions? This is another fun craft idea for the kids because once you have the shamrocks ready, they can make the fun facial expressions and add a little bit of their own personality into their goodies!

Head on over to Hungry Happenings for the step-by-step instructions.

St. Paddy Bear Pop

This craft takes the cake for being the most adorable craft on this list. (Just look at them!) They look much more complicated than they actually are to make and make a great party favor or dessert offering at your office’s St. Patrick’s Day luncheon. If you’re looking to impress kids and adults alike this year, these are the craft idea for you.
